I may have let it get out of hand a little.

It's in hand now. See? All cute again.

A sweater has been completed and worn, even by a self-professed "non-sweater guy"

Little plants.

Proud hiker.

In un-photo-documented events, we tried to take the kids canoeing today.  That didn’t work out well.  H was scared and wanted to get out, and then C seemed to want to go with him, so they stayed at a neighbors while Brad and I took a short spin downriver.  Saw a pair of hooded mergansers!

About sayingthings

K lives in the US with her man and kiddos, knits, cans, dehydrates, bakes bread, (but doesn't cook regular food, particularly), crochets, spins, gardens, studies for a degree that never seems to end, and um, works. Sometimes she wastes time online. Also -- and family, she's looking at you here -- sometimes she swears and says things you might not agree with. But she still loves you.

  1. Its very important not to forget to play the canoeing games! We used to sit for hours looking for a rare tribe of native people called “Gitcheegoomies”. They are very hard to see, they hide in the grass and trees at the side of the lakes/rivers. Dad bought us teeny tiny paddles as well and we “helped”. There are also many, many good paddling songs!!

  2. C looked like one of the Muppet Babies–perhaps guest-star “Huckle-baby Finn.” Muppet, muppet, muppet, muppet, babies, babies, babies, they make your dreams come true…
